Paul Moor starts 2015 European Bowling Tour with victory in 45th Brunswick Ballmaster Open

Englishman wins his 16th European Bowling Tour title and his first PBA title with 225-204 win against Finland's Joonas Jehkinen

2015EBT01PaulMoor2_small.jpg Paul Moor of England (pictured) defeated Joonas Jehkinen of Finland, 225-204, to kick off the 2015 European Bowling Tour with victory in the 45th Brunswick Ballmaster Open Sunday at Tali Bowling Center in Helsinki, Finland. By winning his EBT record 16th career title (Finland's two-hander Osku Palermaa is second with 13 titles) and his first Professional Bowlers Association title, the 36-year-old lefty earned the 13.000 Euro top prize and took the early lead in the 2015 men's point ranking.

2011WTBALogo_small.jpgThe World Tenpin Bowling Association has released Bulletin No. 1 for the 2nd World Seniors Championships which will be held Aug. 23-30, 2015 at 56-lane Sam' Town Bowling Center inside Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. To participate in the second edition of the championships for men and women 50 years of age and above, players must be born December 31st, 1965 or before.

Dates set for 2015 Women's World Championships in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Dates are also determined for 2015 World Senior Championships

2014WorldBowlingLogo_small.jpgThe Executive Board of World Bowling Tenpin, the governing body of the sport of Tenpin Bowling, has decided the dates for 2015 Women's World Championships at the board meeting December 15-16 in Abu Dhabi following the 2014 Men's World Championships. The 5th WWC, which is contested every four years, will be held from December 4-13, at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. World Bowling Congress and Tenpin Bowling Congress will immediately follow the Championships on Dec. 14-15.

World Bowling announces host cities for 2017-2020 World Championships

2014WorldBowlingLogo_small.jpgThe World Bowling Tenpin Executive Board has announced the host cities for the World Bowling Championship events for the years 2017-2020. The decision to elect the following host cities was announced Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, where the Executive Board has met following the completion of the Men's World Championships. "We are pleased that we could accommodate for all the bidding cities and I believe this reflects on the global reach of our sport," World Bowling President, Kevin Dornberger, commented.

The 9-day event concluded Sunday afternoon with the Masters competition and capped off with a victory banquet on the rooftop of the Aloft Hotel. 272 players from 49 countries competed for medals in Singles, Doubles, Team of Five, All-Events and Masters.

Bokeum (pictured), who has won the gold medals in Doubles, Team and All-Events, finished the six-game block on dual lane condition (left lane long oil, right lane  medium oil) with games of 280, 258 and 275 (813) and a 1447 series (241.17 average) for 7050 overall, or an average of 235 for 30 games.

"Class of 1999" celebrates their 15-year reunion in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Several of the men's medalists of the at that time combined World Championships are still active, either as player, coach or team manager. The "class of 1999" celebrating their 15-year reunion is spearheaded by World Champions Patrick Backe of Sweden, Ahmed Shaheen (c.) of Qatar, Gery Verbruggen (l.) of Belgium and Tore Torgersen (r.) of Norway.

Korea beats USA by a whisker to win the prestigious five-player Team title

Sweden and Australia share the bronze medal

2014MWCTeamGoldKorea_small.jpg In the title match of the five-player Team event Saturday evening at Khalifa International Bowling Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Korea outduelled three-time Men's World Championships Team champion United States, 1097-1088, to capture their first gold medal in the prestigious event. The U.S. Team, which has won the gold medal in 2006, 2008 and 2010, received the silver medal. Australia and Sweden, who lost in the semifinals, shared the bronze medal.
