Book release comes along with mini eBook on 'How to Pick Up Spares'; pre-orders to benefit Bowl-4-animal charities

2014BowlingFundamentals2ndEdition.jpg A passion for writing and coaching has come together in the June 10th release of Bowling Fundamentals - Second Edition (Human Kinetics, 2014) by former women's professional bowler Michelle Mullen along with a mini eBook on 'How to Pick Up Spares'. Bowling Fundamentals was also translated in both Russian and Simple Chinese.

For this updated edition, Mullen said, "I am excited to share three decades of coaching experience with bowlers of all age/skill levels. I am thrilled to share anecdotes from my pro career, but even more excited about sharing my insights on the psychology involved in working on biomechanics, to ease the process of change.

"I have passionately and meticulously written everything that I know will help bowlers in a way that that is now accessible and useful to everyone, including specific and thorough information for the left-handed bowler. This truly is a "one-of-a-kind" handbook for all bowlers and coaches alike!"

"My mini eBook is a great guide to picking up spares -- complete with detailed illustrations--whether you throw a hook or a straight ball." Mullen continues, "It was a lot of work, but a very cool project that I am excited to share as most bowlers will improve their average on better spare shooting alone."

Mullen is a 4-time pro champion, including one major title, a former Team USA coach and a USBC Gold Coach, with a background in biomechanics and sports psychology. Her passion is to coach, more than it is to bowl herself.

Michelle's other passion is to help animals in need, and her 9th annual Bowl-4-Animal Rescue is currently underway! This three-month pledge driven event culminates in a huge bowling event on August 9th, and 100% of the proceeds benefit local animal charities.

Mullen and Aleta Sill, the first woman $1,000,000 bowler and the youngest ever inducted into the WIBC Hall of Fame, annual event and have raised over $150,000 to help animals in need.

"I would love to tie these two timely occasions together and donate 10% of all pre-orders I take to Bowl4animalrescue.org. Nothing would delight me more than to bring my two passions together."
