USBC's Neil Stremmel named National Governing Body VP

    2006USBCNeilStremmel.jpg United States Bowling Congress Chief Operating Officer Kevin Dornberger announced that USBC Technical Director Neil Stremmel has been named as Vice President - National Governing Body.

    In his new role, Stremmel will oversee USBC operations in equipment specifications, Team USA, USBC Coaching, USBC Sport Bowling, USBC High School, USBC Collegiate and rules. The position of Technical Director will not be immediately filled.

    USBC is one of 45 National Governing Bodies recognized by the United States Olympic Committee.

    Stremmel is a Mechanical Engineer (BSME from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.), an IBPSIA certified technician and a Master Computer Aided Tracking System instructor. He was also recently named co-chair of the World Tenpin Bowling Association Technical and Coaching Committee.

    Stremmel previously worked in the nuclear power and aerospace industries. He has served as a local American Bowling Congress director and is a lifetime bowler who began working in a center at age 13.
