"The North Pointe Insurance High School Singles tournament is one of the top high school bowling events of the year," said Wendy Jones, Tournaments Coordinator for the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America. "This event always brings in the top high school bowlers in the nation and we expect to have another great tournament in Indianapolis in 2010."

Entering its fifth year, the tournament is open to bowlers who are high school students during the 2009-2010 school year. Participants must be a United States Bowling Congress certified youth bowler. The entry fee is $60.

Last year marked the first time the field was open to all high school students. Christopher Via of Springfield, Ohio, captured the boys' title while Pauline Harris of Winter Park, Fla., won the title in the girls' division. Via and Harris each collected a $15,000 scholarship for winning their division in the tournament.
