Unique concept to unify bowling's major brands under one roof for two-day event

2011TheAlleySouthShore.jpgFor the first time ever, bowling's biggest brands are coming together with Florida distributors to present their products and services.

The Florida Bowling Super Show will be held at The Alley at SouthShore, a Family Entertainment Center in Riverview, Fla. (pictured), Friday and Saturday, August 12-13 and will feature the products of Brunswick, Ebonite International, Storm, and 900 Global along with other participating manufacturers.

Friday's trade show will offer seminars geared to bowling center proprietors and managers, pro shop operators and center mechanics. In addition, there will be on-lane ball demonstrations, lane machine demonstrations, networking opportunities, lunch plus a packed trade show floor with products and knowledgeable representatives to answer questions, share ideas, and help bowling centers and pro shops save money.

Saturday is a mega demo day for pro shops and bowlers featuring all of the major bowling ball, shoe, bag and accessory brands in bowling.

"This is the first time bowling's biggest brands have gotten together to organize and present a unified trade show under one roof," said Bob Gudorf, executive vice president of Classic Products Corp.

"It's a great way to present a unified message to everyone in the southeast United States. If you are a consumer looking for a new product, a pro shop owner looking to see all the new offerings or a bowling center proprietor looking to grow your business, we have something for everyone through the product offerings but also the educational seminars available.

Seminar topics scheduled include a Pro Shop Roundtable, What Should You Be Doing Now That Your Synthetic Lanes Aren't New Any More, New League Formats, and How Your Center's Or Shop's Business Can Benefit From Coaching.

There will also be a trade show where attendees can talk to sales and technical reps, talk with PBA tour players like Randy Pedersen, Rhino Page, Johnny Petraglia, Parker Bohn III, Bill O'Neill, Jason Couch, Mike Fagan and others while watching them throw the latest balls from Storm, Ebonite, Hammer, Roto Grip, Brunswick, Track, Columbia 300 and more.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about lane machines and conditioners, speak with pinsetter representatives, and have access to lots of trade show specials for pro shops, center mechanics, bowling center managers and proprietors. Bob Reid, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Ebonite International Inc. said the driving force for this event was to make trade shows more beneficial to attendees while increasing the efficiency for manufacturers and distributors who usually appear at over twenty trade shows a year with often overlapping schedules.

"This event will help consolidate travel and logistics for everyone," he said, adding, "We've packed as much as possible into this event to make it like no other showcase."

The cost of the Florida Bowling Super Show is $25 per person and includes lunch, seminars, and trade show. The Saturday demo day is $5 in advance and $10 at the door.
