QubicaAMF adjusts dates for 2006 Bowling World Cup

2006BWCDates.jpg QubicaAMF had to adjust the dates for the 2006 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. The 42nd annual edition of the prestigious event needs to finish on Friday 10th November this year, two days earlier as usual. Bowling competition in Venezuela takes place from November 4-10 in the 40-lane center at Mampote, a short drive outside the main city of Caracas.

Winnipeg's Michael Schmidt successfully defended his Canadian World Cup tenpin bowling title, yesterday at the Bowling World Cup Canadian National Championships in Caraquet, N.B. Last November in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Schmidt became only the third Canadian male and seventh Canadian to claim the world title at the Bowling World Cup (archive picture).

Caracas to welcome the 42nd QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup

2006WCOfficialSigning_118.jpg QubicaAMF has announced that the 42nd Bowling World Cup will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, between fourth and 10th November 2006 (not 12th as earlier reported) in the 40-lane center at Mampote, site of the 1983 FIQ Worlds. The Deputy Minister for Sport and President of the Instituto National de Deportives, Prof. Eduardo Alvarez Camacho, gave the event the full backing of the government when he signed the contract.
