Russell, who secured the No. 1 seed for the three-player stepladder finals with a 279 last game in the match play round, earned his first European Bowling Tour title, his first World Bowling Tour title and, due to an agreement between the PBA and the WTBA, his first career PBA international title.

The lefty, who is looking for his first title on the European Bowling Tour, averaged 253 for six games to lead the Round of 28 with 1518 pins including a 299 game. Gruffman leads the top players, all men, into the next round with the pinfall carried forward. Jazreel Tan of Singapore won the women's ranking.

Brunswick Euro Challenge moves from Paris to Munich in 2013

10th anniversary of the European Bowling Tour Platinum tournament to be held at Dream-Bowl Palace in Munich, Germany, March 19 to 24, 2013

2013BECLogo_small.jpgValcke Bowling and Brunswick have announced today that the Brunswick Euro Challenge, a European Bowling Tour Platinum event and Europe's richest tournament, will move from Paris, France, to Munich, Germany, in 2013. The 10th anniversary tournament will be held from March 19 to 24 at 52-lane Dream-Bowl Palace in suburban Munich. The tournament schedule has been adjusted due to the new location and registration will open December 15.
