Chan topped No. Angkana Netrviseth of Thailand, in the women's title match, 211-180, to claim the title and the US$10,000 top prize. On the men's side, Yannaphon cruised to the title with a 243-194 victory over Andrew Frawley, Australia, to pocket US$20,000.

Men's and women's field is down to the top players who will determine the champions in single-elimination bracket finals on Tuesday

Siu Hong (.), the defending champion, averaged 233.2 for the ten-game round to lead the top eight men into the finals. Armein topped the women's qualifying with 2215.

Hussain Al-Suwaidi starts 2013 Asian Bowling Federation Tour with victory in Bahrain

Hussain Al-Suwaidi (pictured left with Abdulla Al-Dosery, President of Bahrain Bowling Association) defeated local favorite Ahmed A. Jabbar (r.) of Bahrain, 245-191, to win the season-opening event of the 2013 Asian Bowling Federation Tour Saturday at Ozone Entertainment Center in Bahrain. It was the fifth career ABF Tour title for the UAE bowler, who has won titles in Kuwait (2008, 2010), Thailand (2009) and the 2010 ABF Tour Tournament of Champions.

Indonesia's Ryan Lalisang and Macau's Julia Lam win the Tour's point ranking; lead the top 16 men and women into the Tournament of Champions March 11-12 in Kuwait

2012ABFT08ShakerAlHassan_small.jpgShaker Al-Hassan (pictured), UAE, topped Salem Al-Hajras of Kuwait, 175-150, in an all-lefty final to win the last tournament of the 2012 Asian Bowling Federation Tour regular season Saturday at Universal Bowling Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Al-Hassan received 75 ranking points for the victory en route to qualify for the Tournament of Champions in March 2013. Ryan Lalisang of Indonesia and Julia Lam of Macau finished atop the men's and women's rankings.

Williem Widjaya, Angkana Netrviseth capture the titles at 2012 ABF Tour Indonesia leg

2012ABFT07WilliemWidjayaAngkanaNetrviseth_small.jpg Local bowler Williem Widjaya and Angkana Netrviseth (r-l) of Thailand captured the titles in the 2012 Asian Bowling Federation Tour Indonesian leg Monday at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center in Jakarta. In the men's title match, Widjaya defeated Michael Tsang of Hong Kong, 239-198, to claim his first career ABFT title. Netrviseth topped Alisha Nabila of Indonesia, 184-171, to win the women's title. The eighth and last ABF Tour leg will be held in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, Dec. 22.

Kam defeated Hengky Susanto of Indonesia in the men's final, 197-190 while Tang topped defending champion Julia Lam of Macau, 194-177, in the women's title match.

Kang Bo Long, Gloria Yung win their first career ABF Tour title in Hong Kong

Both players saved their best for last. Kang stormed to his first career AFT Tour victory with a huge 278-195 win against Hong Kong Open champ Fahad Al-Emadi of Qatar. Yung edged Cookie Lee in an all-Hong Kong affair by one pin, 212-211.

Yousif Falah notches his first ABF Tour win in Egypt

Sinai International Open wins back-to-back titles in Cairo

2012ABFT04YousifFalah_small.jpgAfter three defeats in Asian Bowling Federation Tour title matches, Yousif Falah (pictured) of Bahrain finally got the monkey off his back when he defeated compatriot Masoud Saberi, 217-180, to notch his first career ABF Tour win at the International Bowling Center in Cairo, Egypt. It was the second title within a week for the Bahraini, who also won the 14th Sinai International Open, which served as the qualifier for fourth leg of the 2012 ABF Tour. The next stop is the ABF Tour Hong Kong leg on June 10.

Hong Kong's Wu Siu Hong wins men's ABF Tour Thailand leg

Local favorite Yanee Saebe wins second consecutive women's title in Bangkok

Strike Bowl Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. In the men's final, Siu Hong defeated fellow countryman Wicky Yeung, 210-174, to wrap up the title. Saebe saved her best for the last game, defeating compatriot Chantanee Sarnswang, 223-206, to win her second consecutive ABF Tour women's title in Bangkok.

2012ABFT02HarebAlMansooriSayedAlHashemi_small.jpgFor the third time in just one week, Cozmo Bowling Center in Kuwait City hosted a major bowling event as the second leg of the Asian Bowling Federation Tour followed the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions and the 9th Kuwait Open. In an all UAE-affair, Hareb Al-Mansoori (l.) defeated Sayed Al-Hashemi (r.), 244-205, in the title match to capture his first career ABF Tour title. The third ABF Tour stop will be in Bangkok, Thailand on April 19.

It was the second win for the Siu Hong after 2006 while Chai cruised to her third career victory in the ToC. When Siu Hong won his first title, Chai also won the women's title.

2012ABFT01AndrewFrawley_small.jpgLong-time Australian national team member and USBC Silver level coach, Andrew Frawley (pictured) captured the first title of the 2012 Asian Bowling Federation Tour by defeating Yousif Falah of Bahrain Saturday at Ozone Entertainment Center in Manama, Bahrain. In the title match, Frawley reeled off a seven-bagger to fly past his opponent, 259-213, and to win his first international title since the Thailand Open in the year 2010. There was no women's competition in this event.

Wu Siu Hong, Sharon Limansantoso finish season atop the men's and women's ranking

In the men's title match, Lalisang defeated Badin Lertpirlyasakulkit of Thailand, 230-203, while Kar Yen edged Sharon Limansantoso, Indonsia, 47-39 in roll-off after a 198-198 tie. Limansantoso and Wu Siu Hong of Hong Kong finished atop the women's and men's ABF Tour rankings.

Annop rolled games of 234 and 257 on his way to the men's title match, where he defeated Hong Kong's No. 1, Wu Siu Hong, 249-213. The women's title match was an all-Indonesian affair with Roumimper beating fellow Indonesian national team member Sharon Limansantoso, 224-210.

In an all Hong Kong affair, Mak pulled off a 225-198 win over fellow Hong Kong national team bowler Eric Tseng to claim the men's title, while Lam easily defeated compatriot Chan Weng Sam, 212-171, to land the second consecutive victory for a Macau woman.

Yanee easily topped Jo Hyun-Jung, Korea, in the women's title match, 193-154. The fifth leg of the Tour will be held in Macau, China, on July 3.

In the title match, the 17-year-old topped Mohammed Janahi, Bahrain, 212-192. The top 16 Asian bowlers in the 5th Kingdom International Open advanced to the ABF Tour Saudi Arabia leg contested in one-game single-elimination format.

The second stop of the 2011 ABF Tour will be held on March 23 at Cozmo Bowling Center in Kuwait City.
