Hispanic marketing expert to deliver final "game changer" session at 2012 Bowling Summit

    Gus Rios to educate bowling proprietors on the Hispanic consumer landscape

    2012BowlingSummitLogo.jpg The Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) announced today that Gus Rios, senior customer marketing manager for PepsiCo Foodservice at BPAA, will host the final "Game Changer" session at the 2012 Bowling Summit in Napa, California on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 8:45 a.m. local time.

    Rios is a marketing expert with in-depth knowledge of the Hispanic culture and industry. He has vast experience working with companies that target the Hispanic demographic, including Manzanita Sol, HEB grocers, Mission Foods, Azteca Milling and MASECA.

    Rios is an expert in creating bilingual and bicultural solutions that help to drive measurable growth through targeted promotions, products, merchandising and advertising programs. His extensive media and marketing credentials include managing strategy and TV activation for Pepsi Musica and later MASECA, "Cocinando con Las Estrellas" ("Cooking with the Stars").

    Additionally, Rios' career in Hispanic marketing has allowed him to work closely with highly-respected community leaders throughout the United States in Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Miami, as well as the Mexican and Costa Rican consulates.

    "With his wealth of knowledge and expertise in the Hispanic marketing space, Gus Rios is the perfect presenter to conclude our 'Game Changer' series. He will bring terrific insight and understanding on marketing to Hispanics in our proprietors' markets. Rios' workshop will help our members better serve the Hispanic communities at their centers," said Steve Johnson, executive director for the BPAA.

    "As our country continues to become more diverse, understanding best practices on how to market to a wide range of consumer demographics has become increasingly important to our proprietors' bottom lines."

    Rios' presentation, "Understanding the Hispanic Consumer Landscape in our New Multi-Cultural World," is part of the newly-revamped education series and conference schedule at this year's annual Bowling Summit.

    During his presentation Rios will educate proprietors on the changing demographics in the marketplace and within the bowling industry. Additional topics will include: how to engage the Hispanic consumer, understanding media and the Hispanic consumer, as well as the changing Hispanic consumer landscape.

    BPAA's Bowling Summit is the premier annual strategic midwinter conference for bowling center proprietors, managers and industry leaders, offering education, networking and industry insights on new and upcoming products.

    The 2012 Bowling Summit will be held January 22-24 at the Meritage Resort in Napa, California. Registration for the 2012 Bowling Summit has been reduced to $99 for BPAA members until December 19, 2011.
