    2012NationalBowlingDay.jpg To celebrate the start of another bowling season, National Bowling Day will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11 across America and anyone in the country can directly take part thanks to a free game of bowling.

    Valid at any participating bowling center, the free games are available by logging on to gobowling.com. Those who do so also will automatically entered into a drawing for a free ultra-fast 4G LTE iPad.

    In addition to the free bowling games, centers participating in National Bowling Day will offer the opportunity of enjoying food, family and friends in air conditioned comfort away from the summer's heat. Many will feature special events, coaching clinics, easy sign-ups for fall leagues and other fun activities.

    "For the first time ever, the bowling industry has come together to create a single day to celebrate this great American past time," said Bowling Proprietors' Association of America Executive Director Steve Johnson.

    "The beauty of bowling is that there are no barriers. People of all ages and from all walks of life can play, compete and have fun - and everyone is invited to bowl for free on Saturday, August 11.

    "The creation of the National Bowling Day holiday speaks to the increased solidarity across our industry, which has helped propel a tremendous resurgence for bowling."
