First-block leader Finland leads the top 28 teams into the second block with 3381 total and an average of 225.40. The top 4 teams after six games will advance to the medal round beginning at 18.30.

Defending Team World Champions Finland had games of 1145, 1131 and 1105 on long oil in the second squad to take the overall lead with 3381 total (225.40).

The Koreans averaged 223.60 for the first three-game block on long oil (43 ft. Tokyo pattern) to lead the United States by 93 pins. Australia is third and Denmark is fourth.

The Danes came out of the gates with a 732 game, and continued to strike as they added games of 686 and 740 for a three-game total of 2158, just 38 pins shy of the Championships record set by the United States in 2010 (2196).

The Japanese earned the silver medal. Kimmo Lehtonen and Joonas Jehkinen of Finland and Korea's Shin Seunghyeon and Kang Heewon shared bronze.
