Eurosport 2 to air Brunswick Euro Challege stepladder finals Thursday, May 3, at 22:00 hrs CET

Bowlingdigital.com has provided live streaming of the 2012 Brunswick Euro Challenge which was held March 16-25 at Plaza Saint Maximin in suburban Paris, France. Live streaming started with the stepladder finals of the WTBA International Open featuring Liz Johnson, Chris Barnes and Walter Ray Williams Jr. and closed with the stepladder finals of the BEC including Joonas Jehkinen, Mika Koivuniemi and Mike Fagan. Eurosport have confirmed that the Brunswick Euro Challenge program will be broadcast on Eurosport 2 on May 3 at 22:00 hrs CET.

Mike Fagan beats Finns Koivuniemi, Jehkinen to win the 2012 Brunswick Euro Challenge

Captures his fourth PBA title and the 15.000 Euro top prize

2012EBT04Top3_small.jpg2012 USBC Masters champion and U.S. Open runner-up Mike Fagan, United States, captured his fourth European Bowling Tour title and his fourth career PBA title when he defeated Joonas Jehkinen of Finland, 279-193, to win the 2012 Brunswick Euro Challenge in suburban Paris, France. Jehkinen, who earned the No. 1 seed for the three-player stepladder finals by leading the match play round of 8, had to sit and wait for the winner of the opening match between third-seeded Fagan and the "big Finn", reigning PBA Player of the Year Mika Koivuniemi.

Tom Hess (l.), United States, won the qualifying of the 2012 Brunswick Euro Challenge and leads total 64 players into Sunday's finals at Plaza Bowling Saint Maximin in suburban Paris, France. The 2011 USBC Masters champion led a field of 399 players from 35 countries with 1533 pinfall and an average of 255.50. Christian Racpan (r.) of Germany was the sole player of the ultimate qualifying squad 25 who moved into the top 52 with 1399, goor for 23rd place.

Jehkinen rolled games of 256, 243, 217 and 204 before he finished with high games of 265 and 279. His 1464 pinfall total propelled the Finn into seventh place in the overall qualifying standings. Qualifying ends on Saturday with squads 22-25 and the ultimate one-game Desperado Squad.

Lousdal started the day (the morning squad 12 has been cancelled) with 289 followed by 220, 257, 208, 233 and 232, an average of 239.83, to become the best non-American player in fifth place. Qualifying continues on Thursday with Squads 14 and 15.

Four-time European Bowling Tour Point ranking champion Gery Verbruggen (pictured) of Belgium had games of 210, 237, 226, 222. 234 and 246 to lead the field of 88 players from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia and United States with 1375 six-game total and an average of 229.17. Qualifying continues on Sunday, March 18, with Squads 5-7 scheduled for 9 a.m., 1 and 5 p.m. CET.

The 106.000 Euro tournament will be held March 16-25 at Plaza Saint St. Maximin near Paris, France and offers 15.000 Euro and a PBA title for the winner. As of today 439 players from 38 countries have registered. Bowlingdigital will provide Live Streaming of the BEC and the WTBA International Open stepladder finals.
