Yvette Murrath, Carlo Greulich win 2013 ISBT season-ending Masters Finals


Yvette Murrath (r.) of France and Germany's Carlo Greulich (l.) wrapped up the 2013 season of the International Seniors Bowling Tour with victory in the women's and men's ISBT Masters Finals August 4 at Chandra Bowling in Nieuwegein, Netherland. Every year, the top competitors from the ISBT series of tournaments are invited to participate in the Masters Final. There is no entry fee to participate and the prize fund is generated from the tournaments run during the year.

André Geelen, Jacqueline Boissiere conclude 2013 season with victory in French Senior Open

2013ISBT10JacquelineBoissiereAndreGeelan_small.jpg André Geelen of Belgium and Jacqueline Boissiere of France (pictured, r-l) won the women's and men's title in the 10th and last stop of the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour to conclude the season with victory in the French Senior Open at Planet Bowling in Lomme. Due to the cancellation of the ISBT stop in England, the 2013 season ended in France. The next event will be the first from the 2014 calendar, the Plaza Senior Open, which will be held January 23-26 in Reims, France.

Marianne Pelz, Chris Vandamme claim the titles in Belgium Senior Open


Marianne Pelz of Germany and Belgium's Chris Vandamme (center, l-r) claimed the women's and men's title in the Belgium Senior Open. The ninth stop on the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour (ISBT) was held at Bowlmaster Club in Brussels, Belgium Aug. 28-Sept. 1. The Belgium Senior Open is a long standing European Seniors event, and this year it attracted 75 men and 24 women from twelve countries. The last stop of the 2013 ISBT is the French Senior Open from Sept. 25-29.

Germans Martina Beckel & Carlo Greulich sweep titles at Schiedam Senior Open

2013ISBT08MartinaBeckelCarloGreulich_small.jpgGerman bowlers dominated the Schiedam Senior Open as Martina Beckel (l.) and defending champion Carlo Greulich (r.) swept the women's and men's title. The eighth stop on the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour was held at the Chandra Bowling center in Schiedam, Netherlands. Beckel wrapped up the women's title in the final game, while Greulich finished round robin match play with games of 300, 259 and 255 to cruise to the men's title.

Hermann Wimmer counts on one pin for a win in Flanders Senior Open

Alessandra Morra wins back-to-back women's title and third overall in 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour season

2013ISBT07AlessandraMorraHermannWimmer_small.jpgHermann Wimmer of Germany (r.) prevailed by one pin over compatriot Peter Knopp and André Geelen of Belgium to win the closest finish ever on the International Seniors Bowling Tour en route to claim the men's title of the Flanders Senior Open at Euro Bowling in Deurne, Antwerp, Belgium. Alessandra Morra (l.) dominated the women's division to win her second consecutive ISBT title and the third this season. The tournament drew 68 men and 21 women.

Alessandra Morra, Christer Danielsson capture Böblingen Senior Open titles


Alessandra Morra (l.) of Italy and Swede Christer Danielsson (r.) captured the women's and men's title of the Böblingen Senior Open, the sixth stop on the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour, which was contested at Dream Bowl in Böblingen, Germany. While Danielsson flew past compatriot Olle Svensson in the men's title match, 254-218, Morra was declared the winner by higher scratch total after a 203-203 tie against Gisela Insinger, Germany.

Gisela Insinger of Germany and Ron Oldfield of England walked away the winners of the ISBT Masters for the 2012 season, which was held in conjunction with the ISO at the same time.

Martina Beckel, Dan Stricker win hands down in Hansabowl Senior Challenge

2013ISBT04DanStrickerMartinaBeckel_small.jpgGermany's Martina Beckel and Dan Stricker (r-l), United States, dominated the men's and women's division and cruised to the titles in the inaugural Hansabowl Senior Challenge Sunday, May 5 at Park Bowling in MĂĽhlheim, Germany. Stricker averaged 245.54 over 17 games in the finals, while Beckel averaged 212.14 in the seven-game women's finale to finish the clear winners. The fourth stop of the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour drew 66 players from 13 countries.

Brigitte Fievet, Gunther Schollen prevail at Alsace Senior Open

The third stop of the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour drew 106 players, 83 men and 23 women, from 11 countries. Qualifying leader Alessandra Morra (r.), Italy, rolled a 300 game in the women's finals.

Barbara Karnasch, Ernst Berndt take the titles at Arthur's Senior Open

The men's final over four games proved to be a runaway victory for Berndt, who finished over 50 pins ahead of Ron Oldfield, England, with Peter Knopp, Germany, in third place. In the all-German women's final, Karnasch put in four solid games to take the win followed by Rosemarie Greve and Martina Beckel.

The first stop on the 2013 International Seniors Bowling Tour was held Jan. 23-27 at Plaza Bowling in Reims, France, which last year also hosted the ISBT Masters. For the 2012 season, the Masters will be held during the Italian Senior Open in Bologna in early June. Plaza Senior Open 2013 attracted 69 men and 21 women from 12 countries.
