Hillevi Huhta, Carlo Greulich conclude 2015 ISBT with victory in French Senior Open

2015ISBT10HilleviHuhtaCarloGreulich_small.jpgHillevi Huhta of Finland and Germany's Carlo Greulich (l-r) concluded the 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour with victory in the French Senior Open at Planet Bowling in Lomme. It was the first ISBT title for Huhta, while Greulich became the only multiple men's champion this season. There is always a strong entry for this tournament, and as the ISBT Masters event was being held at the same time, the numbers were even higher than normal, with 92 men and 25 ladies taking part.

2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour features 10 events in 5 countries

2015 season concludes with the ISBT Masters in Lomme, France

ISBTLogo_small.jpg The 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour featured 10 tournaments in five countries, three each in France and Germany, two in Belgium, and one each in Italy and the Netherlands. Men and women age 50 and over bowled in separate divisions. The final stop this season was the French Senior Open, which was held at Planet Bowling in Lomme, France. The tournament ran from September 30 to October 4 and also included the ISBT Masters tournament for the 2014 season.

Martina Beckel, Uwe Tscharke triumph in 2nd Dream-Bowl Palace Senior Open

2015ISBT09MartinaBeckelUweTscharke_small.jpg Germany's Martina Beckel and Uwe Tscharke survived three eliminator rounds en route to win the women's and men's titles in the 2nd Senior Open Sunday at Dream-Bowl Palace in Munich, Germany. Tscharke defeated André Geelen in the men's title match, 259-214, for his first career ISBT title. The women's finale between Beckel and Angela Laub was very one-sided, with Beckel winning 231-165 for her third consecutive win and fourth on the 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour.

Germany's Martina Beckel, Carlo Greulich capture the titles at 2015 Dutch Senior Open

2015ISBT08MartinaBeckelCarloGreulich_small.jpgMartina Beckel and Carlo Greulich of Germany (l-r) captured the women's and men's title at the 2015 Dutch Senior Open Sunday, Aug. 2, at Chandra Bowling in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. It was the first title this season for Greulich who repeated his victory from 2014. Beckel won her second consecutive title on the International Seniors Bowling Tour and the third this season to break a tie with two-time winners Angie Brown of England and Italy's Alessandra Morra.

Martina Beckel, Ron Oldfield win Flanders Senior Open from top-seed

2015ISBT07MartinaBeckelRonOldfield_small.jpgSeeded first in the women's and men's stepladder finals, Martina Beckel of Germany and England's Ron Oldfield rolled big games to win the Flanders Senior Open Sunday, July 19th, at Euro Bowling Deurne in Antwerp, Belgium. Beckel edged Liliane Vintens, Belgium, for the wome's title, 248-245, while Oldfield defeated André Geelen, Belgium, 280-255. It was the fourth career ISBT title for Beckel and her second this season, while Oldfield earned his first title in 2015 and the 10th of his career.

Angie Brown, Frank Börner win Eliminator Finals in Böblingen Senior Open

2015ISBT06FrankBornerAngieBrown_small.jpgDefending champion Angie Brown (r.) of England and Frank Börner (l.) of Germany were the last players standing in the Eliminator Round Finals at the 3rd Böblingen Senior Open to win the sixth stop on the 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour Sunday at Dream-Bowl in Böblingen, Germany. It was the second victory this season for Brown who is the all-time ISBT title leader with 13 wins, and it also marked the first career win on the ISBT for Börner.

Alessandra Morra, Patrick Rolland win Italian Senior Open

2015ISBT05PatrickRollandAlessandraMorra_small.jpg Alessandra Morra of Italy and Patrick Rolland of France (r-l) emerged as women's and men's champions of the Italian Senior Open, the fifth stop on the 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour, which concluded Sunday, July 5 at Reno Bowling in Bologna, Italy, with the eight-player round robin match play finals. It was the second win on the 2015 Tour for Morra and the first for Rolland. The 2015 Italian Senior Open attracted an entry list of 88 men and 21 women

England's Angie Brown, Lol Ellis sweep the titles in 50+ Euro Bowling Open

2015ISBT04LolEllisAngieBrown_small.jpgAngie Brown and Lol Ellis (r-l) of England swept the women's and men's title in the 50+ Euro Bowling Open Sunday at Euro Bowling Deurne in Brussels, Belgium. It was the 12th career ISBT title for Brown, who pocketed 750 Euro, and the third for Ellis, who received the 1.400 Euro top prize. The fourth stop on the 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour attracted an entry list of 73 men and 15 women including a strong English contingent, with 28 players competing.

Sabine Leutwiler, Harry Mickelson claim the titles in Alsace Senior Open 50+

2015ISBT03SabineLeutwilerHarryMickelson_small.jpgSabine Leutwiler of Switzerland and American Harry Mickelson (pictured, l-r) claimed the women's and men's titles in the Alsace Senior Open 50+, which concluded Sunday, April 12, at Cristal Bowling in Wittelsheim, France. 89 men and 20 women took part in the third stop on the 2015 International Seniors Bowling Tour. While Leutwiler led the women's match play finals from the beginning, Mickelson fired a huge last game to beat defending champion Carlo Greulich, Germany, by 70 pins.

Strong finish propels Martina Beckel, Pekka Tiironkoski to victory in Arthur's 10th Senior Open

This year, a total of 100 players representing 10 countries - 81 men and 19 women - took part. Both players put together a big final round to leap from fourth and third place, respectively, to the top of the standings.

The first stop on the 2015 ISBT tour was the fourth running of the Plaza Senior Open and drew 115 competitors, 91 men and 24 women, from 13 countries, slightly up on the previous year.
