Kuwaitis stun local favorites to win gold and silver in Doubles

    After dominating the men's Singles in the 3rd West Asian Games in Doha, the local favorites from Qatar with Singles champion Saeed Al-Hajri failed to win a medal in the Doubles event. Two Kuwaiti doubles, Rakan Al-Ameeri/ Khaled Al-Debayyan and Fadhel Al-Mousawi/Mohammed Al-Rgeebah, earned the gold and silver medals with 2570 and 2533 six-game total, resp. Rahma Al-Sharqi and Hind Al-Hammdi topped favorite Nadia Al-Awadhi of Bahrain and team mate Marjan Habib to win the women's title.
