Johnsson maintains lead in All Events after 18/24 games

    2007WRMHelenJohnsson_small.jpg Helèn Johnsson (left), Sweden, remained atop the leaderboard in All Events after two out of three disciplines in the Women's European Championships in Denmark. With 18 out of 24 games in the books, the gold medalist in doubles leads the field of 130 women from 25 countries with 4125 pinfall total and an average of 229.17.

    Johnson took the lead after the first six-game block in doubles when she rolled a record 1546 series on the short oil pattern, a 257.66 average. The multiple Swedish champion and defending WEC Masters champion is the leading player of the championship on short oil with 2183 9-game total, an average of 242.56.

    2006EBT18IsabelleSaldjian_small.jpg Isabelle Saldjian (right), France, averaged 253.33 and felled 760 in the final 3-game block in trios on long oil and led the next-closest woman, Ghislaine van der Tol (678, 226.00), by more than 27 pins in average.

    The multiple French champion, who claimed the silver medal in trios, moved from fourth to second place in All Events with 4099 (227.72). Saldjian is the leading player of the championship on long oil with 2017 9-game total and an average of 224.11.

    2007EBT18MaiGingeJensen_small.jpg Mai Ginge Jensen (left), Denmark, slipped one spot from second to third behind series of 657 (short) and 599 (long) in trios. The silver medalist in the 2006 WEC All Events has felled 4012 pins (222.89).

    2008WECTinaHulsch_small.jpg Just outside the box looking in is Tina Hulsch (right), Germany, who won silver in doubles and bronze in trios. With the final six games in the five-player team event to go, Hulsch is 70 pins off the pace for a medal in All Events in fourth place with 3942 (219.00).

    2008WECMariekeDeJong_small.jpg Marieke de Jong, Netherlands, who rolled the field-best 719 3-game block in trios on short oil jumped from 23rd to sixth place with 3881 total (212.83).

    The top 24 players from All Events will advance to the best-of-three games Masters final, which will conclude the championships on Saturday, June 14.
