No changes atop the All Events leaderboard before the final block in Team event

    2008WECHelenJohnsson_small.jpg The top five players maintained their positions in Women's European Championships All Events after the first block of three games in the team event at Odense Bowling Center in Odense, Denmark.

    Having completed 21 out of 24 games, Helèn Johnsson (l.), leads the field with 4877 pinfall total and an average of 232.24. Johnson led the Swedish team into the top spot with 752 3-game total to become the best player of the championships on short oil with an average of 244.58 over 12 games.

    2006EBT18IsabelleSaldjian_small.jpg Isabelle Saldjian (r.), France, who is the leader on long oil after 9 games with 224.11 average, lost some ground on Friday despite a 706 series. Saldjian was second to Johnsson on long oil with 232.33 average. With just three games on long oil to go, Saldjian is trailing Johnsson by 72 pins to sit in second place in All Events with 4805 but has a comfortable 111-pin cushion over third-placed Mai Ginge Jensen.

    2007EBT18MaiGingeJensen_small.jpg The Dane (left) has totaled 4694 pins (223.52). Next are Tina Hulsch, Germany and Ingunn Øien, Norway, with 4641 and 4579, respectively.

    2008EBT08KatrienGoossens1_small.jpg Belgian's rising star Katrien Goossens (r.) posted the third-best individual series on day one of the team event with 734 to leap from 16th to sixth with 4492 pinfall total.

    Former EBT ranking champion Kamilla Kjeldsen, Denmark, used the second-highest set (748) to jump from 28th to 10th place with 4422.

    2008WECLisanneBreeschoten_small.jpg Trios gold medalist Lisanne Breeschoten (l.), Netherlands, holds the 24th and final qualifying spot for the Masters competition with 4338 or an average of 206.57. The top 24 players from All Events will advance to the best-of-three games Masters final, which will conclude the Women's European Championships on Saturday, June 14.
