All 33 players must bowl 18 games of preliminaries over three days with the top 8 men and the top 8 women advancing to the single-elimination match play finals in best-of-three games format.

Mizrahi finished the women's preliminaries atop the leaderboard to earn the No. 1 seed for match play. She swept young Shir Azulay, seeded 8th in the quarterfinals, 2-0 (187:139, 174:154) and went on to defeat No. 3 Sara Aviram, Or's mother, in three games, 2:1 (198:204, 214:175, 235:226) thanks to six consecutive strikes at the end of the deciding game.

In the women's final, Mizrahi went the distance against Rony Aharonovitz to win very tight match, 2-1 (190-180, 178-195 and 192-181). This will be the second Bowling World Cup for Mizrahi after participating in the 2000 edition in Lisbon, Portugal, where she finished 19th.

In the men's opening round, Aviram, seeded second, survived a strong charge by No. 7 Omer Nehushtan winning the deciding third game by just one pin (191:228, 279:183, 211:210) to win the match, two-games-to-one.

In the semis, Aviram made quick work of No. 3 Gal Shemer, 2-0 (224:193, 226:183) to meet Lior Koren in the title match. Koren won the 2009 qualifier but couldn't participate in the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup as the Israelis did not get a visa for Malaysia.

Aviram easily won the first game, 266-176, and wrapped up the title with a 235-224 win in game #2. Aviram will represent his country for the fourth time in his career. He has a high finish of second in the 2005 BWC in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he fell to Canadian Michael Schmidt in the decider, 216-214. Schmidt has also qualified for the Toulon World Cup.
