    The second Men's European Championships will be held from June 30 (last day of arrival) through July 10, 2007 (departure day) at Plus Bowling in Vienna, Austria.

    35 of the 48 member federations of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF) will participate in the championships: Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Wales and the host federation, Austria.

    Players will compete for medals in Doubles (12 games), Trios (6 games), 5-Player Teams (6 games), All Events (24 games; combined scores from Doubles, Trios and Team) and Masters (Top 24 from All Events).

    Finland with Kimmo Lehtonen, Kai Virtanen, Petteri Salonen, Petri Mannonen, Lasse Lintilä and Jari Ratia won all - at that time six - gold medals (including Singles) in the inaugural MEC in Russia in 2005. The Finns swept all three medals in two disciplines, All Events and Masters.

    Austrian Airlines supports 2007 Men's European Championships


    AustrianAirlinesLogo.jpg Austrian head coach Helmut Amstätter has negotiated a remarkable contract with the national carrier Austrian Airlines. AUA is now the official partner of the Austrian Bowling Federation (ÖSKB). The airline also supports the 2007 Men's European Championships and offers special group rates for all participating federations PLUS a 40 kg baggage allowance for every group member (instead of regular 20kg) PLUS a 50 per cent reduction of all charges on additional excess baggage.
