Palermaa beats Torgersen to claim 9th World Ranking Masters

After leading the 2007 and 2008 European Bowling Tour rankings and his victory in the inaugural EBT Masters, Osku Palermaa, Finland, became the top-ranked amateur bowler in the world as he claimed the 9th World Ranking Masters at Oltremare Bowling Arena in Naples, Italy. In a high-scoring men's final in bets-of-three games format, the two-hander defeated equally-tough Norwegian Tore Torgersen, 259-234 and 248-238 for a 2-0 victory. Palermaa (l.) received $10.000 and Torgersen (r.) pocketed 5.000.
