Al-Qubaisi beats Lintilä to claim men's World Ranking Masters

Planet Bowling in Moscow, Russia (June 22-27, 2004)

 Mohd Al-Qubaisi came back from being down 0-1 to defeat Lasse Lintilä, two-games-to-one, en route to capture the men's World Ranking Masters title. 36-year-old Lintilä, one of three Finns in the men's single elimination finals, easily won game #1, 244-188. Al-Qubaisi rebounded with back-to-back victories, 269-196 and 210-190, to win the match and the title.

Asbaty impressively wins women's World Ranking Masters

2004WRMDiandraAsbaty_small.jpg Diandra Asbaty, 23-year old 6-time Team USA member , defeated Shalin Zulkifli of Malaysia, 2-0 en route to claim the women's title in the World Ranking Masters at Planet Bowling in Moscow. This marks the first time in the four-year history of the World Ranking Masters that an American bowler, man or woman, won the title.

Mannonen and Zulkifli earn top seeds for WRM single elimination finals

Mannonen (l.), who led the field since the first block, meet compatriots Pasi Uotila in the quarterfinals. Zulkifli (r.) takes on Korea's Lee Eun Ock.

Guerrero, Ong post high scores in Block Two at World Ranking Masters

Singapore's Remy Ong (l.) came up strong with the field-best 1399-set to leap into third position. Making the biggest jump in the women's division was Colombia's Clara Guerrero (r.).

Mannonen (r.) averaged 231,33 en route to win the first of four 6-game blocks with 1388 pinfall total. Lunden (l.) leads the women's division with pinfall of 1263 and an average of 210,50.
