The lefty, who won his record 14th European Bowling Tour title in the Chandra Open two weeks ago, averaged over 260 for the first four games but could not match the vigorous pace in the last two games. Beuthner (l.) led the 56-player round with 1418 including 48 handicap. Klerk (r.) toppled 1410 pins for the field-best 235 average. It took a 1300-series to make the second cut.

Martin Larsen (pictured) became fourth player who surpassed the 1400-mark and made a considerable move toward the top of the standings averaging 238.83 through the six-game round to boost himself from 44th to fourth place with 1433. His compatriots Robert Andersson and Alexander Johansson were second and third wisth distant 1364 and 1361, good for 10th and 12th place overall.

The reigning PBA World Champion and 9-time EBT titlist had games of 203, 255, 215, 229, 256 and 214, an average of 228.67. Craig Nidiffer of the United States leads the field of 248 players from 28 countries since Squad 5 with 1467 (244.50). Diana Zavjalova of Latvia is the best of 38 women in second place with 1454.

The 2013 USBC Queens winner and 2014 Intercollegiate Singles Champion rolled games of 195, 220, 241, 269, 259 and 222 to become just the second player in tournament who surpassed the 1400-mark with 1406. She added eight pins handicap per game to take over second place with 1454.
