    Robin Romeo and Ron Mohr earn the No. 1 seeds for the playoffs

Her team mate, Singles champion Lucy Sandelin had the field-best 6-1 match play record and the highest 1507 series to maintain second place with 6525.

    In the one-game semifinals, Sandelin will take on Team gold medalist Susanne Olsson (left photo with Christel Carlsson, left) of Sweden, who remained in third place with 6308 and a 3-4 won-loss record.

    2013WSrCMildaDosRamos.jpg2013WSrCRonMohr2.jpgSharon Tataryn (above right with Jill Friis, right) of Canada leaped from sixth to fourth place with 6221 including 80 bonus to beat out USA's Tish Johnson (6181) for the last place to advance by 40 pins.

    Milda Dos Ramos (left) of Venezuela finished sixth with 6170 with Jill Friis of Canada in seventh place with 6164 and Christel Carlsson of Sweden in eighth place with 6120.

    On the men's, two-time WSrC gold medalist Ron Mohr (right) rolled a 1506 series and won three of his seven matches to easily maintain his pole position with 7148 total and an average of 228.65 for 31 games.

    Mohr team mate when winning the Doubles gold medal, Hugh Miller, had the field-best 6-1 match play record to jump from seventh to fourth place with 6580. Miller defeated Singles champion Christer Danielsson of Sweden in the last match, 204-181, to overtake the Swede and to earn berth into the playoffs.

    2013WSrCTakeoMurakami.jpgStefan Yngström of Sweden overtook his team mate by one pin to finish fifth with 6544 with Danielson in sixth place at 6543.

    Isaac Amkie of Mexico (above right) was seventh with 6450 and Takeo Murakami (right) was eighth with 6255.

    2013WSrCLogo.jpg The 1st World Senior Championships runs from Aug. 10 thru 16, 2013. Men and women will compete in separate divisions for medals in five events - Singles, Doubles, Team, All-Events and Masters. All participants must be 50 years of age or above in the year of the championships.

    The top four players with the highest 31-game total including bonus points play two semi-finals over one game ; the highest positioned in Step 2 vs. the fourth highest positioned in Step 2 and the second highest (No. 1 meets No. 4 and No. 2 bowls No. 3).

    The winners advance to the championship match to determine the Masters champion in a one game final.
