Denmark, Sweden pull ahead of the field in Boys Trios

L-R Danes Kasper Walther, Thomas Larsen and Anders Lousdal led the way with 2036 pinfall total including the 711 high game of the day, an average of 226.22 for three games.

    Doubles champion Joachim Karlsson and Kristoffer Hagelberg teamed with Johan Helldén to sit in second place with 2013 (223.67), just 23 pins off the pace for the gold medal.

    Jord van Weeren, Xandel van Mazijk and Santino Jas, Netherlands, are a distant third with 1932 (214.67). Arturs Levikins led his Latvian team mates Daniels Vezis and Vladislavs Filimonovs to 4th place thanks to the highest individual 3-game series of the day, 736 (245.33).

    Antonios Zafras, Greece, rolled the third 300 games of the championships in his first game to propel his team mates George Stefanidis and Evangelos Krizinis to fifth place (1911). The Trios event ends on Thursday with the second 3-game block. 45 Boys' trios from 25 countries participated in the second event at Tali Bowl in Helsinki, Finland.
