Norway comes from behind to take the No. 1 seed for MEC Trios finals

    England and both Swedish trios to complete the shootout

    Starting the day in fifth place after a 1875 3-game series on short oil, the Norwegians posted the second-highest 1937 on long oil to leap four spots with 3812 total and a team average of 211.78.

Hansen regained the lead in All Events after 18 of 24 games. Sandbækken contributed 1181 and Torgersen added 1220.

    Dominic Barrett, Stuart Williams and Matt Chamberlain (l-r), England, leaped one spot to second place behind an 1855 series with 3799 pinfall total (211.06).

    Mathias Ã…rup, Erik Andersin and Dennis Eklund (l-r), Sweden, slipped one spot to third place behind an 1805 series on long oil with 3786 pinfall total (210.33).

    Jesper Agerbo, Frederik Øhrgaard and Thomas Larsen of the host country Denmark were second to the Swedes in Squad 3 yesterday and led the squad on long oil with 1856, but fell 25 pins short to miss the cut in fifth place with 3711 (206.17).

    The top 4 trios advanced to the semifinals at 7.30pm, The No. 1 after 6 games will bowl the No. 4 seed and the No. 2 takes on No. 3 in the semifinals. The winners will bowl for the title at 8.30pm and the losers will share the bronze medal. All matches are one-game matches.
