ESPN2 to show USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships title matches on Sunday

Men’s and women’s championships matches to be aired at 5 p.m. Eastern

USBCITCLogo_small.jpg The crowning of team champions in college bowling can be seen Sunday at 5 p.m. Eastern when ESPN2 broadcasts the title matches of the 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. Sunday’s broadcast marks the 10th consecutive year the championships matches of the ITC have been televised. Dave LaMont will handle play-by-play duties with Team USA and PBA standout Chris Barnes providing color commentary on the broadcast. Former Team USA member Emily Maier will report from laneside.

Maryland Eastern Shore, Fresno State win USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships titles

2011USBCITCUMES2_small.jpg The Maryland Eastern Shore women and Fresno State men claimed their first USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships titles on Saturday. Maryland Eastern Shore (pictured) became the first team in history to win an NCAA Women's Bowling title and an Intercollegiate Team Championships title in the same season, taking down Lindenwood, 2-1. Fresno State, meanwhile, defeated the top-ranked team in the country, Webber International, 2-0, to win the men's title.

Four teams unbeaten at USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships

Three-time defending champion Wichita State and Webber International won all three of their matches at AMF Peach Lanes to remain undefeated on the men's side. For the women, NCAA champions Maryland Eastern Shore (pictured) and Lindenwood finished with a perfect record to reach Saturday's semifinal round.

Central Florida women, Lindenwood men lead Intercollegiate Team Championships

USBCITCLogo_small.jpg The Central Florida women and Lindenwood men earned the top seeds heading into match play after qualifying Thursday at the 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. All teams advanced to the double-elimination, match-play bracket Friday, where the field will be cut to the top four men's and women's teams by the end of the day. The championships features the top 16 men's and top 16 women's college bowling teams in the country vying for national titles.

Wichita State men, Webber women look to defend Collegiate National titles

Three-day free live streaming coverage starts Thursday, April 21

USBCITCLogo_small.jpg The Wichita State men will look for a record fourth consecutive national title, while second-year program Webber International will try to defend its women's championship when the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships kick off April 21 in Columbus, Ga. The defending champions in each division are among the 16 men's and 16 women's teams that advanced to the collegiate nationals, which will be conducted at AMF Peach Lanes. USBC will provide free live streaming coverage of the qualifying and semi-finals.

Bowling Industry unites to keep Intercollegiate Team Championships on television in 2011

Men's and women's finals to air on ESPN2 on May 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern

USBCITCLogo_small.jpg Industry partners have joined together to keep the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships on television for the 10th consecutive year in 2011. The men's and women's finals of the event will air on ESPN2 on May 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern.The USBC, Bowling Proprietors' Association of America, Professional Bowlers Association, Strike Ten Entertainment, The Bowling Foundation and the YES Fund are all contributing to broadcast college bowling's biggest event.

Field set for 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships

USBCITCLogo_small.jpg A total of 32 teams kept their hopes alive for collegiate national titles as the field was determined Sunday for the 2011 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships. The field of 16 men's teams and 16 women's teams was determined at sectional qualifiers at four sites - Allentown, Pa.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Peoria, Ill.; and Euless, Texas - with the top four teams in each division advancing.

Sectional field announced for 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships

USBCITCLogo_small.jpg The path to crowning collegiate national champions for the 2010-11 season became a little clearer Tuesday as the United States Bowling Congress announced sectional-qualifying assignments for the 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. The four sectional qualifiers will be held March 12-13 at AMF Parkway Lanes in Allentown, Pa.; Holiday Bowl-Brainerd in Chattanooga, Tenn.; Landmark Lanes in Peoria, Ill.; and AMF Euless Lanes in Euless, Texas.

Columbus, Ga., to host 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships

USBCITCLogo_small.jpgThe 2011 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships will be held April 20-23 at AMF Peach Lanes in Columbus, Ga., the United States Bowling Congress announced. The ITC is the pinnacle tournament of the collegiate season, bringing together the top 16 men’s and top 16 women’s teams to compete for a national title. Four sectional qualifying tournaments determine the field for the ITC. The 2011 ITC originally was announced for Syracuse, N.Y., but was shifted to Columbus because of a scheduling conflict.
